Weakly Nonlinear Clustering for Arbitrary Expansion Histories

Bouchet et al. (1992) showed that in an open or closed Universe with only pressureless matter, gravitational instability from Gaussian initial conditions induces a normalized skewness, S3 ≡ 〈δ 〉 〈δ〉 −2 , that has only a very weak dependence on the nonrelativistic-matter density. Here we generalize this result to a plethora of models with various contributions to the total energy density, includ...

A Perturbative Expansion for Weakly Bound States ∗

We describe a perturbation expansion for the energy and wave function of a weakly bound particle in a short-range potential in one space dimension. ∗Research supported in part by the National Science Foundation under Grant #PHY-9218167.

Existence and uniqueness results for a nonlinear differential equations of arbitrary order

This paper studies a fractional boundary value problem of nonlinear differential equations of arbitrary orders. New existence and uniqueness results are established using Banach contraction principle. Other existence results are obtained using Schaefer and Krasnoselskii fixed point theorems. In order to clarify our results, some illustrative examples are also presented.

Polynomial Invariants for Arbitrary Rank D Weakly-Colored Stranded Graphs

Polynomials on stranded graphs are higher dimensional generalization of Tutte and Bollobás–Riordan polynomials [Math. Ann. 323 (2002), 81–96]. Here, we deepen the analysis of the polynomial invariant defined on rank 3 weakly-colored stranded graphs introduced in arXiv:1301.1987. We successfully find in dimension D ≥ 3 a modified Euler characteristic with D − 2 parameters. Using this modified in...

Clustering Algorithm for Arbitrary Data Sets

Clustering analysis is an intrinsic component of numerous applications, including pattern recognition, life sciences, image processing, web data analysis, earth sciences, and climate research. As an example, consider the biology domain. In any living cell that undergoes a biological process, different subsets of its genes are expressed in different stages of the process. To facilitate a deeper ...
